At Mujeres Raíz, we recognize that some women face greater situations of vulnerability for different reasons: conditions of poverty, social exclusion, domestic violence, discrimination, family abandonment, health problems, or limited access to education and employment. These realities create obstacles that often prevent women from living with dignity and achieving their life projects.
Our Support for Vulnerable Groups program seeks to accompany these women with empathy and solidarity, creating spaces of care, guidance, and empowerment. We believe that every woman, regardless of her context, has unique value and deserves to be heard, cared for, and supported in her personal and family processes.
We provide guidance and initial support to women experiencing physical, emotional, economic, or psychological violence.
We offer them a safe space where they can express themselves and receive information about care pathways, available resources, and protection measures.
We create initiatives aimed at responding to immediate basic needs, such as support with paperwork, access to public services, and guidance toward state institutions or community networks that can provide more specialized assistance.
We facilitate workshops and activities that help women in vulnerable situations regain self-confidence, recognize their abilities, and strengthen their resilience.
The goal is for each woman to envision a future with greater autonomy and hope.
We promote the building of support networks among women, where those facing greater difficulties can feel supported and accompanied by others who share their experiences or who wish to offer their time and energy as an act of community service.
