At Mujeres Raíz, we work to defend and protect women's human rights in Costa Rica, focusing on strengthening their autonomy, access to justice, training, and comprehensive support. We seek to create safe and supportive spaces that allow for healing, learning, and community growth.
We develop talks, workshops, and training programs in areas such as human rights, gender-based violence prevention, self-care, leadership, and empowerment. Our goal is to provide every woman with practical tools to strengthen her personal and collective development.
Information
We offer guidance to women who need support on human rights issues, access to social services, and community resources. We provide clear and accessible information on care pathways, opportunities for participation, and mechanisms to ensure equality and dignity.
We pay special attention to women in vulnerable situations: migrants, asylum seekers, victims of violence, or social exclusion. We seek to ensure that these women have access to resources, support, and a safe space where they can be heard.
We create spaces for meeting and mutual support, where women can share experiences and build solidarity networks. We promote recreational, cultural, and integration activities that strengthen a sense of community and belonging.
We participate in dialogue spaces, networks, and advocacy activities to raise awareness of the reality faced by women in Costa Rica. We promote the development of more inclusive and supportive policies, defending equal rights and opportunities for all.
